With a very busy semester with every
thing I am working on I have also been
running our schools student organization: Bodies of Art annual fashion show. This year’s theme was Never
Grow Up. I have created 3 to-tos as part of my modern fairy god mothers outfits. Here is my bright pink tulle skirt.

Garment #2
The second bridal gown is done! I have
worked so hard and I am finally seeing my dream come true. For the longest time
now I have not been able to see my vision. After completing this garment I feel
confident enough to push forward and I can clearly seen where I am going.
Cutting out the Fabrics
Cutting
fabric can be a very tedious job. When I cut out my fashion fabrics I like to
lay them out on the big worktables and place my pattern pieces together like a
puzzle. I try to use the least amount of fabric possible to ensure I will have
enough. Here I have placed my pattern pieces according to the pattern on the
fabric.
Lace
1
I I am in love with lace! When working with such a fine material it is important to pay attention to detail. Making sure to
match the thread strokes with the lace strokes to ensure it blends in is key.
Here I am working on my sheer shawl for my first garment.

Fabrics
The next step of my journey is to choose my
fabrics. I have gone with all polyester fabrics for my bridal gowns. My fabrics
are all creams with pops of white, and pops of pinks. I have also chosen a few decorative laces and patterned fabrics.
