Week 11

 Last week was a busy week!  I completed 2 more looks, printed my banner and had my photoshoot! 

Tuesday was my photoshoot with T and it went so well!  My models are so fun to work with so we had a great time in the photo studio.  As promised, are some behind the scenes photos! T did a fantastic job and I am so happy with the results!

On Wednesday I went to the flex lab and printed out my banner with Riley and Zoe.  I'm really happy how it came out! 

Last week was a great week.  There's something about finally getting to see your finished work that just feels so good after spending so many hours on it.  Hoping to get a few more looks finished going into the new week and I'll be all ready to go for our show in just two weeks!

Week 11!

 I officially have 6 looks complete! This week I focused on look 2, sewing a mock-up and patterning. I did a fit test on my model, and adjusted the patterns from there as needed. 

This week I printed off my banner as well, which will hang at the fashion show and by my collection during exhibits.

Thursday was a big day this week, because I had the opportunity to collaborate with a photography student and get my collection photographed for my portfolio! Here are a few behind the scenes photos from that experience.

This week I worked on the design of my collection banner, and did a collaboration photoshoot with a photography student. She took photos of the two ensembles that I have completed so far.

WEEK 10

Why hello, 

Things are happening. This week I started assembling Ensemble 3, and updated all of my illustrations based on the adjustments I have made to my collection.

Week 9

 Hello and welcome, 

This week I continued my efforts on Ensemble 3. After some thought I decided to switch up my fabrics for this look. This look was originally going to be all white, however, I wanted to incorporate a rust/pottery color velvet that I have into my collection and I thought that bringing it into this look would be a really nice accent to my collection.  Below is my updated illustration of what I am planning to do for this look. 

Here is my lovely silk velvet and a lining that I found to match. I am very excited to put this together. I

will also be adding some beaded embellishments to this look.

WEEK 8

 Welcome back to my weekly updates! I've gotten a little bit behind, but here I am catching up! This week I finished Ensemble 2 and started my work on Ensemble 3. 

Here is my finished work of Ensemble 2. The top is a sequin mesh with a silk cloud shaped appliqué on the bottom half of the bodice and sleeves. The silk pieces are outlined with gold hand sewn bugle beads. I made an ivory satin skirt and added the chandelier crystal chain as an embellishment.

Here is my progress on Ensemble 3. I created a mock up of my intended design and will make adjustments accordingly.

Week 10!

This week was a very productive one. I now have 5 (almost 6) looks complete! I sewed buttons, button holes, and worked on completing look 3. 

I sewed a blue velvet bucket hat to match look 7 (in progress is a rose one to match look 3).

I cut out the pants for look 6 and patterned the top. I got started on look 2 as well by draping the bodice on the form and cutting out a mock-up to test the fit.
