(Week 5) - Avery Compton

[Last week] was the last week to work on our first ensembles, and this is how mine turned out in the end! 

There were a lot of things that went right, as well as wrong with this ensemble, in my opinion...

For starters, the knit fabric I was working with for the top was very stretchy and very thin, so it didn't have a great structure for embroidery or beading, so it started to bunch up if I wasn't super careful. Furthermore, I planned to add some thin white micro pleated fabric as a trim on the edges of the sleeves (and maybe the pants), but I could not locate the cut of fabric that I had picked out for this! 

Some of the things that went well for me, on the other hand, was the blue dye for the pants turned out very close to how I imagined, as well as the embroidery/beading on the pant legs ending up almost exactly like I had envisioned it.
