Hello again! This week, pattern making and draping for the first ensemble continues. I used one of my favorite pattern making techniques, the slash-and-spread, to create fullness in the front skirt.
Here I have marked cut lines. (I also numbered each section in case any separated.)
Then I spread the sections apart and taped them down to achieve about twice the width of the original muslin skirt. I marked a beautifully curved skirt bottom, added hem and seam allowance, and voilà!
This week design boards have gone up as well. I made a few small changes to my illustrations and flats. Everything looks great all together. Enjoy!
