This week my aunt came down from Traverse City to try on the mock-up from look one. From there I adjusted the patterns to fit her perfectly before cutting and sewing the dress.
I hand picked the zipper, and I plan on hand sewing the hem as well. Other than the hem, and adding a hook and eye closure, the dress for look one is complete!
I completed the vest and shorts for look 5, and patterned the shirt. After patterning the shirt for look 5, I made a mock-up of the sleeve just to make sure I was happy with the fit and fullness that I had added. And I was! So after fitting the mock-up sleeve to the form, I cut out the entire shirt pattern in the pink silk.
I also changed my design for look 8, and decided on using the pleated fabric from my collection to make a relaxed collared shirt. I cut out the patterns for that shirt as well. Next week I will focus on sewing both shirts as well as working on patterns for look 7, the men’s tailored suit!
