Hello!
Week 7 was spent patterning and sewing the mock ups for the bubble pants and asymmetrical top. I created the pants one leg at a time so I could adjust the pattern to my liking after fitting the first pant leg. Which proved to be an efficient and time saving process, to make the outer layer, I seamed together scraps of netting I found in the fabric cabinet. I utilized the woven pant pattern I made in construction 1, taking out some of the width in the lower calf and ankle to shape the leg, so it will look like my design. Lots of trial and error were expected but I was pleasantly surprised at my ability to accurately draft and tend to fit issues. It’s always nice to witness your own improvement, I have learned so much during the past 3-4 years. I am capable of constructing what I design and illustrate, bringing my vision to life, there is truly nothing like it.
