Ensemble 1 Progress- Ariel would be proud.

After fitting my prototypes and making adjustments the final construction of ensemble one has been take under way. Each garment has been completely cut out in their final fabrics. I have constructed the shell of the jacket and will be adding the image of Ariel that I embroidered onto the back. The jacket will also be fully lined, with a novelty fabric inside as a fun surprise.

The shorts contain the motif of the flowers that I am carrying through the collection. The spacer mesh is used on the underside of the pocket, and I cut out flowers from the mesh to use as applique on the shorts. I used a blanket stitch to attach them. By doing this I created a unique textile that isn't found anywhere else. I will be pulling in the Little Mermaid element on the shorts by adding a Danielle Nicole patch of flounder to them as a fun surprise.

The tank top is a simpler silhouette and will have "Part of your World" appliqued on. This may seem simple, but it is being paired with the shorts and jacket that have more going on.
