CYRK: Transience in Bloom - Week 4

I finished my prototype for the first ensemble. I definitely need to make some changes, but overall, I am extremely happy with how the silhouette is lying on the form. I also love how the box pleats on the pants turned out. So excited to see it in the final fabric.
I'm planning to extend the length of the sleeve top layer and trim back the lower layer to expose more of the arm.
While the top fit the dress form, it was not as fitted as I wanted. I turned the top inside out and pinned the excess fabric into the darts. I still need to smooth out the surrounding areas and evenly distribute the excess fabric so that it hangs evenly.
After attaching the wrap/skirt component to the pants on one side, I decided to make this a separate garment and then secure it to the pants using hooks and eyes. Not only will this allow the garments to hang better on the body, but it will also make the pants more versatile when styling.
When I was drafting the pattern for the pants, I removed a dart and absorbed it in the waist, but when I put it on the form, the back side of the pants was a little too small. I will add this amount back into the pattern.
